Upon my tenth-year in the accounting profession, I sought freedom from corporate America and began designing leather handbags. It started when I was a busy working mom of two small children desiring a hands-free bag to suit my busy lifestyle. I checked out every leathercraft book I could find from the local library, bought two hides and a few tools, and created my first bag that was both functional and fashionable. I then created totes for family for the holidays and they loved them. My love for leather and design had ignited! The design and assembly process is completely done by hand. Each design concept is penciled onto pattern paper and cut out. The pattern pieces are strategically placed onto the leather, traced, cut, and skived by hand when needed. The cut pieces are then assembled using a sewing machine. An array of leathers are used including cowhide, embossed cowhide, bison, pig suede and sheep hair. All leather and hardware is obtained only from USA suppliers.
