Egg Tempera is created by mixing pigment powder with egg yolk and water. The egg yolk binder produces a delicate, fast drying paint for precise detail work. Its clarity is unmatched in heavier paints, like acrylics or oils. Since the primary goal of my art is to draw the viewer into my paintings with illusions of reality and depth, tempera paint is well suited to my needs.
