Anne London
In her 36th year, A.London interprets endangered species with charcoal on paper, traveling to Africa, Asia, the Arctic and the Americas. Respected by biologists, zoologists and behavioralists, her work hangs in many zoos, research parks and reserves around the world. Educated formally in human figure drawing, painting and drawing at Cal State Northridge and Art Center, California, she uses an old world approach to knowing her models attending necropsies, surgeries and spending hours observing them in their natural state. She works alone stateside in Ohio, surrounded by her horses, dogs and cats.
