Book carving is a wonderful way I have found to express myself. Choosing a theme of images and the book together is just the start. As I am carving the images page by page, certain passages from the book speak to me and then become part of the overall piece. I prefer to use “previously owned” books and some I find are not in the best shape but have appealing qualities. I’ve found a way to re-purpose old books, while telling my own story.
