My pieces are all blown glass. Colors are added in the blowing process. While I am working at the furnace, I look to make strong forms with good color. Later when the glass is cool, I facet the forms to open windows to the interior and grind the glass to create new shapes which expose the interior. My intention is to present the viewer with forms emphasizing the interior/exterior interplay using the transparency of glass and contrasting surface textures.
