Andrew Mosedale
Andrew Mosedaleäó»s style is extraordinary, showing a propensity for creating truly interesting and unexpected images. He takes a cinematic, dream inspired approach to still photography. Producing ethereal, exquisitely framed, one-of-a-kind pieces that transform this reality into another. Evident in his artwork are the in¥åuences of architecture and oil painting, giving him a unique style as a photographer.
Andrew was born in Washington DC in 1974, and grew up on the water in Annapolis, Maryland. He started his career when he was a teenager, documenting sports. For years he shot exclusively large format ¥ålm, mastering the dark room. He spent several years studying at the university level, and one-on-one with notable painters and photographers, but for the most part is self-taught for his genre. After a brief resistance to the digital age, Andrew embraced the movement toward digital photography. While the profession was evolving into something new, so was Andrew. His artwork gained a sophistication that could only happen over time and with the level of control the digital era allowed. Andrewäó»s skills and artwork are continually evolving and incorporating new media and ideas.
