I live and work in the Black mountains of Western North Carolina. My work is primarily sculptural glass vessels with a focus on form and color. Often arranged in groupings, I create relationships between forms and their negative space. To focus on these relationships, I take a minimalistic approach to surface decoration and use pops of color sparingly. The final pieces are clean lined and contemporary glass sculptures that capture the whimsy of the medium. I consider these sculptural vessels to be abstract expressionist in nature, because much like an abstract painting, they are open for interpretation.
