Allan Teger

My work began with no thought to nude bodies. I was teaching psychology of consciousness and wanted to show how our perceptions can include multiple interpretations, and both can be correct. I do not construct the images in photoshop. Toys are placed on the body and shot as a single exposure. My work is not about nudes – it is about reality and perception. I believe that the artist is like the shaman – bridging the gap between ordinary reality and the mystical.
