BODYSCAPES are not double exposures or digital. Toy are placed on the body and photographed together.

The photographs are taken with a Mamiya RB-67 medium format camera with a built in bellows. The images are produced in limited editions. All of the photographs are printed in my own darkroom by me and by one darkroom assistant under my direct supervision. Everything is produced to archival standards.

The Bodyscapes began when I was a professor of Psychology. They were an attempt to show, in art, the concept that I was teaching at the time – that it is possible to see something more than one way, and that both interpretations can be correct.
