Alfred Lockwood

Currently based in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex, I am a nature, landscape, wildlife urban and portrait photographer with decades of experience practicing the craft of photography. With the technological advances of digital photography, I have expanded my skills beyond the capture and composition to an ever improving competency in rendering an image in the digital darkroom and other advanced post-processing techniques to create inspiring fine art photographic images that engage the viewer to experience the feeling of the moment frozen in time. Images are printed on museum quality materials including paper, metal and canvas; and using only high-quality archival inks. The choice of material depends on the nature of the subject. Prints are limited edition, signed and come with a letter of authenticity. We go about our lives in our daily routines, but when we pick up a camera, we become image seekers, chasing light and chasing moments, so that we may go back to remember and share them with others. Though life is fleeting, there is a sense of permanence in a photograph, and an ability to convey the emotion of a memory or a piece of history that can live on. Whether the subject is landscape, wildlife, portrait, urban or some other genre, my goal is to create visually compelling images that evoke the viewer’s feelings. When that happens, it is special.
