My present work is the culmination of many years of experimenting with the use of non-traditional materials in jewelry. Through the use of cold joinery techniques, such as riveting, I combine hand cut, hand dyed, found acrylic and bakelite parts with sterling silver to create my work. I have always been interested in using repetitive forms in unique combinations creating pieces with common elements, yet distinctively separate from one another. When I’m searching for materials I always have the thought “what could this become?” My main goal has always been to design art with clean lines that is durable and comfortable to wear.
