Ronald Linton

Shibuichi, a Japanese alloy of silver & copper with which I have discovered some unique qualities when worked with extreme heat by torch to break away and then re-fuse/solder pieces back to the form, create textural surface flows and mostly, depleted whites and torched in ‘Raku’ like patinas. The results are in the flowing organic form with geometric & straight line gold detail and durable painterly monotype patinas. My goal for years was to be able to combine jewelry & abstract print making, monotype, and is realized in this body of work.
