Renee Engebretson

We have collaborated on our glass pieces for over 35 years. We’ve found a way to marry Jim’s glassblowing and more sculptural sensibilities with Renee’s painting and printmaking aesthetics. We use traditional glass making techniques to create vessels that capture the essence or spirit of the wetlands surrounding our home and studios. The movement of water, the whisper of a breeze through the grasses and the abundance of tree seeds falling are some of the inspiration for these pieces.
