Mimi Damrauer
My works are what I call a “Life Diary”. I use fabrics that I make myself (dyeing and painting) to create the color palette that is vibrant, saturated and my own. The color is part of my style. During my world travels, I select and purchase hand-made and stitched fabics to incorporate into my work. I am inspried by everything, colorful, beaded saris in India, or a stor on the beach in Postiano, Italy. I grew up in a home where all of my sisters sewed, it have come full circle that this is how I make my living…I love what I do!
