Clay is my medium of choice. I use a variety of forming techniques including slab construction, throwing, and coils to create my forms. I will also periodically marry other materials such as iron or copper to the clay to achieve my intent.Raku is my process. I’ve yet to find a process as exciting and as satisfyingly real as the traditional carbon blacks and white crackle glazes.My forms for the most part are sculptural in nature. As an old school raku artist and a believer in the ceramic form as a vehicle of nonverbal communication. My wish for my work is to be identified with by others and having their lives enhanced by living with it.
