Mark Winter

Mark Winter is a self taught artist who has been creating sculpture for more than 15 years. Classes in auto body repair taught him valuable skills in welding, metals, and painting. After owning his own repair business for several years, personal influences began directing himtoward what is now his full-time career…sculpture.In his process, Mark incorporates scrap metal and recycled parts. The found pieces are collected and manipulated into sculptural forms. Color on the artwork is typically found on the metal, but on occasion is added to finish a piece.Mark’s studio is located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin on his parent’s farm. It’s the perfect place to work, play, make noise, and store acres of collected scrap metal. He gathers inspiration from music, dreams, art…..and life. “My process is all about the moment and the purity ofcreativity”.
