Margaret Baker

Working with oil paint on canvas, I paint people and memories. I refer to the images I paint as moments-in-between, those mundane moments that seem to take on significance when they are remembered. References for my paintings come from vernacular photographs from my own family and those I collect. I love the idea of forgotten moments becoming oil paintings that live on and continue telling stories.
