I love to experiment with the abstract. I work intuitively on each piece, simply finding the next mark that improves the last. These pieces develop as metaphorical landscapes from a birds eye view. As an artist, I have been fortunate enough to travel through much of the U.S. It is during these trips that I enjoy the pattern of the landscape, both the natural and the ways it gives way to the manmade. These are all original, one of a kind pieces created by layering dozens of hand pulled linocut prints with acrylic paint. I carve each block, pull the prints, and put them all together onto canvas.
