Medium: Kinetic Metal Sculpture

Using balance, springs and dead machinery, I recycle both metal and energy to create sculptures that come to life when touched. My Kinetic assemblage sculptures include found object metals of steel, stainless steel, brass and copper. I heat-shape and weld my sculptures using a MIG (electric) welder and gas welder, and finish with a metal lacquer.

My sculptures evolve from my artistic inclinations, a personal fascination with technical challenges and sense of humor. Over 30 years as an artist has brought me satisfaction and a good sense of accomplishment as I continue to improve and transform my artwork. I create all my pieces, start to finish.
