Dolan Geiman

Large-scale collages constructed from paper or metal. Each piece is an assemblage of hundreds (sometimes thousands) of hand-cut pieces of vintage paper or salvaged tin. All of the materials used are gathered from abandoned spaces—derelict factory buildings, old farmhouses, other forgotten structures—and nothing newer than 1960. No mechanized devices are used in the making of the pieces, simply a pair of scissors or tin snips. My images often tell a story and express my love for folklore, outdoor adventure, and the rugged American landscape.
