My passions have always been art and geography, by utilizing maps with visuals of famous landmarks I’m transporting my viewers into a specific place. I have rendered a unique and cohesive experience by visually immersing my viewers into an illustrative cartographic realm. My recent works include illustrative bird’s eye perspective of famous landmarks surrounded by city streets. Illustrations are inspired by actual maps whether it be present day Google maps and/or historical maps that evoke travel. Before inking or painting my design process is created by using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator to get the correct perspective and composition, but the final drawing is illustrated by hand using pen & ink with background colors (acrylic paints) on cradled wood.
