My belts are not just interesting to look at – they are innovative, functional, meticulously designed, and long-lasting. They are born from a creative process merging design, engineering, and sculpture. Every new design starts as dozens of ideas that I chip away at until the essence of what I want to create emerges.
You can’t fully grasp how my art works from a 2D image. You need to pick the belts up and play with them to feel how the pieces move and hear the satisfying click sounds. I shape them with subtle curves to fit your hands and guide your fingers to hidden triggers that open the buckle. Once you understand how they work, using them feels like a natural, frictionless action. They are functional, wearable works of art that hold your pants up in style.
Each piece is well-made using durable materials that age beautifully over many years of wear. I invented and patented a way to latch a buckle that is fun to open and doesn’t damage the leather. The core feature of my patented design is the adjustable sizing stud the buckle locks onto. It protects the leather strap from stretching and distortion so it continues looking great through years of use.
I bring my leather tools and mobile workshop to the event so I can craft the belt to fit the person perfectly. This gives art show visitors a chance to see the artist at work and understand how I make my belts in person.
