Upon close examination, everyday life can be anything but ordinary. Words we use everyday sound funnier when our two year old says them. A story we’ve heard a thousand times becomes hilarious when our sister tells it. A dented toaster has an old man’s face when viewed from the correct angle. Its the hidden humor, duality, and mischief in daily life that inspires my jewelry. My sculptures are full of surprises. The objects that populate my scenes have their own personalities and stories to tell. And for some reason, things just seem funnier when they are tiny…..So I invite you to take a closer look. All of my hinges, locks, drawers and wheels are hand fabricated and functional. The legs are cast. I use silver, gold, copper, precious and semi-precious stones.
