Julie Powell

Creating a woven fabric with a needle and monofilament, I weave glass beads and stones together, off the loom. I am moved by color and texture and in these elements I create cuffs, necklaces and earrings. They are light and flexible, and full of color-reflecting my love of ancient textiles, nature and the world around me.
