The artwork is a collage of vintage license plates mounted on a wood base. I use the reflective qualities of the plates to tell music history’s story. Some music artists are featured with the license plates from their home state. Tags are also painted to highlight the reflection of others. Images in the center are also recreated with a small mosaic of license plates and epoxy. The guitar shapes and styles selected are iconic to the music artist featured. Just like the music artists themselves, these license plates have traveled the roads and have come home to create a unique one-of-a-kind piece of art.
