I was drawn to jewelry design because it is relatively immediate. You can have a beautiful tactile object in a few hours. Perhaps I’m rewarding myself for toiling in architecture school for several years. I’m inspired by the patterns and textures seen in everyday life. Whether it’s a grassland in Nebraska, a bridge in NYC, or the mini-blinds in my studio…a spark of an idea can be found in all of them. My process is simple: I cut, form, and connect precious metals into well-conceived designs meant to feel subtly pleasing and comfortable…and to be worn often!
