David Wiss

I am a blown glass artist who works with traditional Venetian techniques to make mid-century modern home decor and barware. I enjoy the minimalist and transparent qualities of glass, I use these guidelines to make a style that is focused on shape and tasteful use of color and pattern. The simple, soft flowing shapes also work as an excellent canvas to show off different patterns created by Venetian cane and murrine techniques; the intricate line work created by these techniques are what allow glass to stand out from other materials.
