The Details

MAIN ST. is located in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas, along 9 blocks of one of the most vibrant and exciting Downtown areas in North America, with historic buildings and the authentic red bricks of Main Street serving as the backdrop. Please take a moment to review our website to see how we represent the artists and provide a top-shelf placement for artists’ work to be reviewed.

Hundreds of thousands of people visit MAIN ST. annually.  It’s a long show, and it’s environmentally challenging.  The crowds make it even more challenging…and lucrative.  Ranked as #3 in the Art Fair SourceBook rankings last year, we have, through the years, worked hard to provide a safe and stable work environment in spite of the challenges.

Overall Site Information

  • The festival site is located on Main Street in downtown Fort Worth between the Fort Worth Convention Center (9th Street on the south) and the Tarrant County Courthouse (Weatherford Street on the north).
  • Artists utilize 7 of the 9 blocks dedicated to the festival, including three side streets.
  • Artist Booths are are numbered according to block cross street numbers, north to south as 300 Block (between 2nd and 3rd Street), 400 Block on 4th Street, 500 Block, 600 Block, 700 Block and 800 Block.

For Booths located on Main Street and on 2nd Street:

  • The festival will supply each artist located on Main Street an exact dimension, 10’ x 10’ space under a larger pavilion, set up for the benefit of the artists to help with the breezes associated with Downtown during the spring. Those on 3rd, 4th or 5th Streets will provide their own tents (Emerging Artists will be provided a tent by the Festival).
  • The festival will supply electric for each booth – we ask that you use LED lighting to not overload the circuits
  • The spaces on Main Street will be located under large, open, tented pavilions.  These are open, tented pavilions 20’ wide, and range in length from 20’ to 70′. The sides measure at least 8’4″ tall using leg extenders. They are anchored to the street to provide stability in the wind.
  • Each artist must work within the perimeters of their assigned space.
  • Artists are required to provide their own internal structures, including lights, sidewalls, roofs or draping (if you wish to separate your space from your neighbor’s), weights (for your own internal structure as the festival provides weights only for the pavilion), and front flaps to close your booth at night.
  • There are no sidewalls on the pavilions!
  • If you plan to erect any form of tent under the pavilion, you must consider the poles of the pavilion which are 3” in diameter. We recommend an internal structure that you can adjust (does not have to snap into place) or simply walls.

For Booths located on 3rd (non-emerging artists), 4th and 5th Streets:

  • These will be open air spaces.
  • Artists (except Emerging Artists) must bring their own tents and weights.
  • These booths are located on asphalt surfaces.

For Emerging Artists ONLY on 3rd Street:

  • The Festival will provide a 10′ x 10′ tent with walls and electricity.
  • Emerging Artists will be required to bring their own display apparatus such as walls, tables, pedestals, bins and chairs.

Storage Considerations:

  • Unfortunately, there is no storage space available in the spaces located under the large pavilions.
  • PLEASE BUILD STORAGE INTO YOUR BOOTH’S 10′ x 10′ FOOTPRINT.
  • We cannot allow artists to store their items against the stores or on the sidewalks along Main Street. This presents a cluttered environment and becomes hazardous during the busiest festival hours; however, we will have limited, portable storage facilities available at key locations along side streets for artists exhibiting along Main Street.
  • We had made available a limited number of portable, secure, lockable storage units to be placed on side streets to help artists with their storage needs since space is at a premium.
