Paul Namkung

Retired after 34 year career as a social worker/community organizer, returned to my first love as a percussionist/artist, and created the CAJON, a wood box drum, played while sitting on them. I wanted to create a musical instrument, finely crafted using fine furniture quality woodworking techniques, but most importantly, to have a wide ranging musical tones. I have been crafting these since 1992, and at present, over 600 drummers and percussionists play them. This coming year, 2018 will be my last year before I retire again after 26 years as a drum maker/artist
