My Impressionistic wall pieces capture the color, texture and rhythm I see in my garden and in landscapes around the country. I use strips of wet-felted wool as my ‘brushstroke’ which makes my work at once painterly and sculptural. As I felt the wool using only my hands, I mix in a variety of colors. The pattern is revealed when I cut into the felt and turn it on its edge as cross sections. I use both reclaimed and sustainably harvested wood to create the framing for my pieces. I do all of the woodworking and finishing.
