Familiar, nostalgic objects and scenes inspire me. I like everyday things, especially when their meaning and context has evolved, transforming their importance based on time and place. Using these images, my artwork takes a critical view of social, political, and cultural issues with a hint of humor. I use a combination of materials at my disposal such as acrylic, latex paint, molding paste, vintage newsprint and magazines, graphite, oil stick and wood panels to create 2D mixed media pieces.
