Elliot Stith

Much of my work celebrates the beauty and the history in the ordinary. I often design my work in reverse: using a piece of salvaged material as a starting point, and designing a piece around the “ugly” paint stains or nail holes which give us clues to its previous life. I use these less traditionally beautiful building materials in combination with other woods and more modern design elements to create uniquely contemporary pieces.
