My photorealistic oil canvases are sometimes thought to be photographs when viewed from a distance. That has always been the essence of any photorealistic artist. I have always said that my artistic journey is painting the small abstract shapes of the refracted body of swimmers in water of images behind glass that, when viewed as a whole, are what makes these images come to life.
