Thomas Harris
My forms often reflect geometric patterns found in nature, and my surfaces are inspired by the patterning found in textiles. My work reflects the influence Japanese ceramics and aesthetics has had on my work, especially the concept of Wabi-sabi, which is the acceptance of imperfection as an aesthetic value. In my work is the serendipitous discovery through unintended consequences which then can become part of my personal artistic vocabulary.
