Each piece is individually designed and hand-thrown.

Each piece is allowed to dry completely after shaping, before being sprayed with oxides which produce their background finish of matte metallic black.

Ornamental brush-strokes are applied with a high-gloss glaze as the last step before firing, and pieces are fired in a kiln at temperatures of up to 2300 degrees.

The materials used in each piece transform in the firing process: the clay becomes stone-like, its oxide finish acts as a thin shell of metal coating it, and the brush-strokes decorating its surface acquire the
