These collages are created entirely from vintage dress pattern sewing instructions. Starting with a pencil drawing I construct each image by cutting, tearing, arranging and layering the tissue thin paper until a sassy someone comes to life. They are inspired by my vast collection of festive fashion illustrations from the 1940’s to the 1970’s.
