Hand drawn, cut, and painted layers of birch wood. Stacked wooden layers of original characters and environments create dioramic illustrations of fantastic narratives. The line work is pyrographic, meaning burned into the wood, giving further dimension and texture to the depth of the layered work. Resembling theatrical set designs, or even pop-up books, each piece is assembled to navigate the fun detail and physical depth of the work.
