Braedon Meadors

Creating art has always connected me to the people I love most. My passion began with my family, which has propelled my art career; from the first hand-sketch my mom gave me when I was 5, to collaborating with my sister creating music playlists and halloween costumes. I continue to find myself surrounded by people who share the same drive in creating meaningful art.

My professional art career started working at a concrete statuary, where I learned to make molds, but I was craving something more. Then I was introduced to Hefestus Fine Arts, a bronze investment casting foundry. I began knowing nothing about bronze casting, only knowing sculpting and molds.

Throughout the last seven years I have learned The Lost Wax Process which includes: mold making, wax working, bronze casting, metalwork and patination. This ancient process has helped drive my creativity and knowledge of sculpting; over these years I have shadowed my fellow artists and mentors allowing me to develop my own voice in my sculptures. I have developed a strength in portrait work along the way. I completely handcrafted each one of my sculptures, down to working the wax patterns, metal work and applying each patina through chemical and heat application.

I choose to create unique works of art that inspire depth and imagination. Sculpting has allowed me to unlock my voice and express myself in many styles.
