Remnants left by nature are found, unearthed and given new life. Any structural damage that the specimen has is anatomically repaired with 23k gold. Some come from wildlife sanctuaries around the world, all ethically sourced. Each relic is preserved under a glass dome that I either hand-blow in a hot glass studio, or that is pre-molded. They are then mounted on one-of-a-kind pedestals or wall hangings that I construct with metal components found in electric and aerospace salvage yards. I both solder and use a “cold connection” technique to build my sculptures by way of nuts and bolts, and by deconstructing and machining parts to fit together for a seamless look. My sculptures are modern-day reliquaries.
