I draw inspiration from the ordinary things and places I see every day. Whether it’s a Waffle House, a freeway overpass or the view out my back window, painting from observation gives me a place to hang my paint. Every painting is practice. Practice to see more clearly. To get closer to capturing the moment. Which gets me closer to discovering and sharing n overlooked, less obvious beauty with others. And that’s really cool.
