By combining her love of texture with her natural sense of color and design she creates her abstract works on gallery wrapped canvas. The paintings are bold and initially grabs the viewer’s attention with the powerful colors, and energetic mark makings, but upon closer investigation the subtle nuances and details that are developed through many layers of paint and paper come alive and keep the viewer intrigued. By layering acrylic paint and paste, handmade paper, watercolor crayons and colored pencils, and then removing some of those layers with a sander she can achieve the depth and details that are so important to the quality of her pieces. No piece is ever duplicated or repeated so they are truly original, one of a kind pieces of art.
