I’m a nature photographer gone pop artist. Some would say I’ve gone Andy Warhol-ish/Peter Max-ish. My intent in creating my images is to make nature-based pictures that are lively, colorful and fun, hopefully eliciting in the viewer the kind of happiness one feels when discovering an unexpected delight.

I digitally deconstruct my photographs, building a gradient map to isolate the natural hues and shades which I then replace, manually choosing from the digital palette vibrant, contrasting colors to reconstruct the image. Sometimes I repeat the process multiple times to produce multiple variations of the subject.
