Metal is my material. It challenges me as an artist and a master craftsman to take it to level that is beautiful, lacy, precise, polished, and modern. I look forward to altering its conventional perception for a broader audience. I create and then contrast textures, shapes and lines. Organic shape vs. modern lines and bronze vs. steel are my yin and my yang. As in life, these opposites have many similarities and allow for stylistically innovative pieces that embody movement and light. My recent body of work explores intense engineering for balance and artistry. These large scale pieces, jewelry for the home, are my testament to the ultimate inspiration I feel when working with this extraordinary material.
