I strive to create pieces that reflect strength, simplicity, color and balance. My influences have been Greek and Roman jewelry, Modernist design, architectural elements and the colors the stand out in my everyday life. I see my work as a 3 dimensional graphic painting. My use of non-precious materials such as recycled glass from vintage mason jars, traffic lights, ceramics and other found objects are hand cut in my studio with lapidary machines making them precious and beautiful without harming the environment. The pieces are bezel set in recycled fabricated sterling and fine silver using such techniques as 18 k gold overlay, roller printing, forging and hand finishing.
