Collector's Club Program

Annually, thousands of Fort Worth art lovers descend on the MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival and purchase art for their home, work or for friends. The new and exclusive “Collector’s Club” presented by Frost Bank program is designed to provide an evening of fun and socializing for those who typically make purchases at the Festival, and will bring friends together to enjoy an evening of music, food, drinks and art buying. The  program for 2011 will be limited to only 50 couples.

Members of the Collector’s Club pledge to purchase $1,000 of artwork per couple ($500 for individuals) from the exhibiting artists during the 2011 Festival with full payment made prior to the start of the Festival. Members would be issued “Art Bucks,” in $100 denominations up to the amount of their investment. If, following the close of the Festival, a member has not used all of their Art Bucks, a member may: a) donate the unused Art Bucks to the organization for a tax deduction (DFWII is a 501(c)3 charitable organization), b) keep the funds on account to start their 2012 Collector’s Club membership, or b) request a full refund.

On Thursday afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM, Collectors would gather at the XTO Skybox for a brief seminar on collecting art provided by members of the Fort Worth Gallery Owners Association. Drinks and appetizers would be prepared exclusively for this group. Valet parking will be provided exclusively for Club members adjacent to the Skybox area.

Following the seminar, members browse the Festival with other members to “shop.” Drinks and additional appetizers will be available along the street in two locations, Cowtown Diner and GRACE. Participants would use Art Bucks to make their purchase(s), and DFWII would reimburse the artist(s) for 100% of the proceeds following the Festival. Additionally, members would place a “Collectors Mark,” sticker in each of the artists’ booths where purchases were made, indicating a sale had been made by that artist to a Festival Collector. This would enhance the artist’s stature in terms of additional sales through the weekend.

Members will return to the XTO Skybox later in the evening for dinner and a special performance by Kirk Whalum at the Sundance Square Stage. Members may hold their purchases at the Skybox that evening, as well as throughout the rest of the weekend while shopping.

The Collector’s Club program provides a fantastic, art purchase experience for an investment of $1,000, plus the added value of valet parking, art purchase storage, seminars, dinner and a special concert by Kirk Whalum. A tremendous value and a great way to enjoy the art buying experience at MAIN ST.!

Added Value Option: Upgrade your Collector’s Club experience with a “Friends of the Festival” membership – only $500 per couple (reduced from $750) for Members only. Friends of the Festival enjoy four-day, unlimited access to the XTO Skybox throughout the entire festival, plus a commemorative 26th Anniversary poster!

The MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival showcases a juried art fair, savory food, live concerts, performance artists and street performers!
