Off MAIN!

Fort Worth’s downtown theater district comes alive during MAIN ST. in OFF MAIN!, featuring films, seminars and performances in several usual and unusual performance halls throughout Downtown. National bands, off-beat comedy, short films from around the world, regional theater and our featured display of all 25 years of MAIN ST. posters take you off Main Street and throughout downtown into some of our more special, year-round venues.

The Fort Worth Central Library, Four Day Weekend, Bass Hall, and Jubilee Theater star in this major initiative to connect MAIN ST. visitors with our more eclectic downtown offerings.

This fairytale springs to the stage in Ben Stevenson's magical production. The King and Queen host a magnificent party to christen their beautiful new baby, Princess Aurora. Upset by not being invited to the affair, Carabosse, an evil fairy, curses the child to die on her 16th birthday when pricked by a needle. The Lilac Fairy uses her powers to save Princess Aurora and alters the curse so that she sleeps for 100 years, only to be awakened by a kiss from the Prince. Heritage Trails Self Guiding Walking Tour
Throughout Downtown

At your leisure!

Stroll through Fort Worth’s rich history presented by Heritage Trails, a series of decorative sidewalk markers identified with the iconic cubistic longhorn.  Enjoy reading about the colorful stories of our past and compare photos of yesteryear to today’s street scenes.
Have your picture taken alongside the sleeping panther that rests on the Tarrant County Administration Building lawn.  With a nod to our humble beginnings, the twice life-sized panther keeps a somnambulant watch over our now thriving city.

If you need help finding the trail, go to the kiosk at the Renaissance Worthington to view a map of the trail and find out where to obtain walking tour maps available in locations throughout downtown. Heritage Trails is collaboration between Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Chamber Foundation and Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau.
