FORT WORTH, Texas, November 30, 2006—MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival announces the addition of the 2007 Fearless Film Festival to its list of activities held during the April 19-22 event.
The film festival, a collaboration between MAIN ST. and the Lone Star Film Society, is sponsored by the Fort Worth Public Library’s downtown branch and the Fort Worth Library Foundation. It will attract filmmakers worldwide and incorporate work from all genres, including animation, narrative, experimental, documentary, music video and dance films.
Non-cash prizes will be awarded to winners in categories that include Best of Show, Best Student Film, Best Youth Film and Best Locally Produced Film.
“The goal of the Fearless Film Festival is to enthuse, stir emotion in and inspire audiences through exposure to innovative short films,” said event producer Jay Downie. “We think the films will add another element of artistic expression to the event.”
Films will be screened at the library’s auditorium from noon to 8 p.m., April 21 and 22 during the arts festival. Entries must not exceed 20 minutes in length and must be postmarked by March 15. Late entries will not be accepted. For more information or to download an application, visit www.MainStreetArtsFest.org.
