FORT WORTH, Texas, (August 11, 2006) – The MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival won marketing awards in five different categories -- including the coveted Zenith Award -- the top award prize awarded by the Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA) at its annual conference in San Antonio.

In tough competition with other festivals and events throughout the state with annual budgets of $500,000 and up, including the Alamo Bowl and Fiesta San Antonio, Fort Worth’s MAIN ST. received:
- The Zenith Award – The top award presented at the conference, and the highest honor received in Texas in the festival-and-events industry
- Best Promotional Poster – Designed by Witherspoon Advertising and Public Relations of Fort Worth
- Best Media Kit – Designed by Witherspoon Advertising and Public Relations
- Best Single Newspaper Ad – Designed by Witherspoon Advertising and Public Relations
- Best Pin – Designed and produced by Pressman Printing Inc. of Fort Worth
“MAIN ST. continues to set the standard for other events of their type in many ways. Everyone in our region benefits from Fort Worth’s leadership,” said Penny Reeh, executive director of the TFEA.

Said Carlos de la Torre, chairman of the Festival and Events Committee of DFWII, “The marketing materials are always indicative of the pride, energy and excitement that can be experienced anytime you’re in downtown Fort Worth, most especially during this festival.”
The TFEA is the official state chapter for Texas and New Mexico of the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA).
