2008 Street Closures
Note: 2009 Street Closures will be posted on March 1, 2009, and will closely follow the street closures below.
Street Closures

1. Main Street from 2nd Street to 9th Street, 12:01 AM Monday, April
14 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21.
2. Main Street from
Weatherford Street to 2nd Street will close at 12:01 AM Tuesday, April 15
to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21.

1st Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. Access to Renaissance Worthington Parking
Garage will be maintained.
4. 2nd Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: 12:01
AM Wednesday
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. Access to the Renaissance Worthington
portico will be maintained.

3rd Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday,
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21.
Access to Haltom’s Jewelry loading zone will be provided by barricade
pass.

4th Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday,
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21.
Two (2) North lanes will be open during rush hour traffic (6:00 AM –
9:00 AM), Wednesday, April 16, Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18. 4th
Street will close entirely (all lanes) for the
weekend at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 18 – Monday, April 21. Access to Parking Garage will be maintained.
Traffic Control map will be supplied.

5th Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday, April
16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. Two (2)
center lanes will be open all day on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 and during rush
hour traffic (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM) Thursday, April 17 – Friday, April 18, 2008. 5th
Street will close entirely (all lanes) for the weekend
at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 18 – Monday, April 21, 2008.

6th Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: The two outside lanes (North & South curb
lanes) will be closed at 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 15 till 6:00 pm Friday, April
18. 6th Street will close entirely (all
lanes) for the weekend at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21 at
6:00 am. Two (2) center lanes will
remain open to traffic all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Access to Hotel
parking garage entrance and access to Parking Garage (between Main St. and Houston St.) will
be maintained.
Portalets will be delivered Tuesday, April 15 after
9pm to the curb lanes on 6th
Street. We hope to avoid interrupting traffic flow
during unloading but if it becomes necessary we will make every attempt to
unload as fast as possible and establish traffic flow again.

7th Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: The two outside lanes (curb lanes) will be
closed at 9:00pm Tuesday, April 15 till 6:00 pm Friday, April 18. 7th
Street will close entirely (all lanes) for the
weekend at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 18 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. Two (2)
center lanes will remain open to traffic all day Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday. . Portalets
will be delivered Tuesday April 15 after 9pm to the
curb lanes on 7th
Street. We hope to avoid interrupting traffic flow

Access to Hilton Hotel will be maintained. Restaurant valet parking service will be
moved to Houston Street.

8th Street from Houston Street to Main Street: One curb lane on the
South side and the parking curb cut will be closed from 12:01 am Monday April
14 until 12:01 AM Wednesday, April 16. Full street closure 12:01 AM Wednesday
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday April 21.

9th Street from Houston Street to Commerce Street: 12:01 AM Tuesday,
April 15 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21.

Close parking lane (curb lane) and bagging of parking meters
Commerce Street (West side of street) and Houston Street (Eastside of street)
between 1st Street
and 9th Streets to be used as a Golf Cart lane: 12:01 AM Wednesday, April
16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. This lane will be used for golf carts to move
through the event in a safe manner and not impede traffic or block
sidewalks. Note:

Close parking and bagging of parking meters Weatherford Street
(South- side) between Main Street
and Commerce Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday,
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21.
Parking to be used for permit-only event staff and support.
15.
Close Houston Street parking curb cuts, east side of street,
and bagging of parking meters from 2nd Street to 9th
Street:
12:01 AM Wednesday, April 16 (changed from Thursday) to 6:00 AM Monday, April
21. These parking spaces will be used for permit-only service vehicles.

Close 4th
Street parking lane South Side and bagging of
parking meters from Houston Street
to Throckmorton Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday,
April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. This lane will be used for port-o-lets
for the event.
Close 5th
Street parking lane North Side and bagging of
parking meters from Houston Street
to Throckmorton Street: 12:01 AM Wednesday, April 16 to 6:00 AM Monday, April 21. This lane
will be used for merchant back-up parking (restaurants & hotel).
